Solar Frost Tanka 短歌

Whispered auroras

mapping out each glacial route

dawning crystal breaths

glittering hoar frost needles

compass bound to each snowflake

I really enjoy how you pieced every word together to create such an incredible visual.

Brrrr! The combination of your words and picture paint a chilling scene! I like the title, too, btw. One usually doesn’t associate “Solar” with frost, but it absolutely fits!

    • Thank you! That morning was particularly cold, both in temperature and in events. The family farm was nearing an end, and I had to be there to bear witness. I have a few more from that day, that are works in progress.

    Loved this.

  4. Thank you! I never really leave, I just wait for my imagination to kick in! As far as the font goes, I read many blogs, yours included :), and when I find nice ‘font’ types, I copy/paste FROM that blog, TO a draft version in my blog, and then start writing. Sometimes the font works, if I have it on my computer, sometimes not. You should copy and paste from MY blog and paste it into a draft of yours…see what happens!

looove the pic..i don’t know what it is about paths that i’m so drawn to, maybe a metaphor in itself 🙂

  6. LadyBlueRose's Thoughts Into Words says:

I was trying to come up with a description other than
what a great feel of words that entwine the winter road to your words
but …..thats what it is a great “feel” as I read them
one can hear the whispered aura of winter here
    I really like this…
    Take Care….
