I was hoping time would make it easier…..

    • For some memories, yes. For others, time is but one ingredient.

Ahhhh…..the layahs, the layahs to that statement. And the truth is palpable. Time, forgiveness, understanding, lots of antidepressants, counseling, an adequate amount of alcohol, and a new love all are recipe ingredients. But unless you let go, it will always always be there. Dont let that diamond sword pierce your heart. And I KNOW, I really KNOW, after a 20 year journey from a life changing rift in my soul. In the end, we got in contact by email and spent 6 harrowing, gut wrenching months closing up the festering wound. And I was finally free. I dont recommend the 20 years, it is time lost. But distance allowed me to analyze the events in a more clinical way. Sorry so long, this struck a cord!

        • Thank you for such a heartfelt, insightful & personal note! Was that a ‘To Do’ list of most important to least important? 🙂
I am discovering I can write about past feelings, but I am moving on and do not plan on losing time! 🙂 I love the concept of a ‘diamond sword’, so I shall ‘remove it’, and sheath it in my own diamond scabbard – worn only to “formal” occasions! Ironically, I have a pet cat, ” He of many names”, the first of which is….Excalibur! 🙂 He is actually a small dragon in feline form!

The words, the picture and now I see the chair itself are so fast fleeting. I am glad you captured them for us….

    Reblogged this on Simon Sundaraj-Keun.

  10. The pauses could be as brief as a smile, as quick as a blink, or as long as a heartbeat. Trust begets trust, and all pauses are not of the same relative importance, either. How many times to move on, depends on, perhaps … heartbeats! Who knows!
