Stellaris

( a…..companion to Novae )

Without his patience ‘tween solitary heartbeats
within her hesitation midst blurred indiscretions
    lifetimes…..

Without his discretion amongst hushed thoughts
within her indulgence betwixt selfish decisions
    possibilities…..

Without his tolerance amid laconic debate
within her vanity uncoupling tolerable sins
    eventualities…..

Without his courage linking unquestioned commitment
within her falsehoods obscuring cavalier allegiances
    intangibles…..

Without his imagination linking unrivalled futures
within her disdain tarnishing treasured memories
    consequences…..

Without his resilience weathering arrant calumnies
within her impatience dismissing strengthened resolve
    losses…..

Without his silence buffering eventual destinies
within her haste relegating futures uncelebrated
    unknowns…..

Of silenced futures, perished, never to have been…..
Of stentorian tomorrows, emerging, demanding to …..BE…..

I WANT to know…….

  5. Ah, dear Greg, yet again you leave me speechless with your fine writing. To be precise;
“Of silenced futures, perished, never to have been…..
Of stentorian tomorrows, emerging, demanding to …..BE…..” — this is what took my breath away 🙂
Hope the “dragonness” of your heart is keeping you strong.
    Much love!
